Fascinating Squirrel
Squirrel remains a fascinating creature. I captured images of them several times.
A squirrel was eating nuts and not distracted by a passerby, even when I hold a phone directed at it.
Another one slept in a lazy afternoon, knew nothing about screaming kids nearby.
This afternoon, I have a one-minute encounter with a real fat squirrel. It’s inching closer than any other rendezvous. I observe the squirrel, and the squirrel stares back. We remained curious about each other.
The squirrel bored and fled away. I smiled and appreciated the story I was sketching.

Why A Day Moon?
I like a clean moon, visible in daylight. That’s why I was happy when I spotted them the first time.
I took pictures and uploaded them to social networks. And I found out I have an audience.
I began to pay attention to those moons. Sometimes in the early morning, and sometimes afternoon, I found them unexpected everywhere.
They’re not as bright as shining bling in the late night, and they’re as plain as a piece of white in the background of blue.
Their attractiveness lies in moderate, yet they invoke tremendous curiosity. It fits a modest personality but moving forward.
Do you like to see those day moons?
How To Deal With Monday Blue?
Monday is a soft obstacle. I need extra sugar to fight drowsiness, often mixed in coffee.
Did I party over the weekend or binge watch tv dramas? No, I dealt with constant distractions in a dull state, return phone calls, mini-meetings, and on and on.
To gain my mental sharpness, I decided to walk through a nearby park.
It’s a golden afternoon. I wandered through the trail. Relaxing and rejuvenating, I felt the tasks on my back were unpacking, one after another. I breathed and yelled. I wanted to experience it every afternoon.

Looking For The Other Side
I never know the other side if I never tried.
Some thirty years ago, I lived in a country as locked off as North Korea. I knew nothing outside. One year, I watched a film showing a flea market in Canada. Its colorful fabric, red or curly hair, and skyscrapers. A distinctive shock.
Yet, after I stepped in the States, I learned how common a flea market is. It’s even an eyesore sometimes.
Through years, I learned to look for the other side and step over the warm couches. It is a soft obstacle. It fogs my eye and fuzzy my vision.
Full of curiosity, I take a different vantage view.
Life Never Fair
Life never fair. It throws things when I unexpected.
I was active and played soccer in college and afterward. Somewhat overweight, but within the guideline. Yet, one year my mother fell and broke her hip. I spent more time with her by going independent.
Page turned, my mother’s health was worsening and passed away. My marriage dissolved. I lost everything. The worst part of that is type 2 diabetes began to ruin my life since I was worrying too much. I couldn’t sleep.
The cycle repeats for years. This year, I decided to right things straight. I’m going to follow the power ritual to prove it.
Client from The Hell
If you work in a client-facing business, you know how hard it is to please a particular group. A popular Instagrammer classifies one of them as ninjas.
One fitting definition for ninja is the stealth way they conduct themselves. A popular Asian culture storyline shipped across the ocean.
I had several stories. In every tale, they made justifications one after another to skid past a deadline. When needed, they vanished without shadow.
Yet, they pop up in an unimaginable minute. Kicking, begging, even crying, ninjas plead their cases. They interrupt the office and interfere with themselves.
I have no other answer but to refuse their services. What’s your experience in dealing with the worst clients?
What Morning Routine Do you Follow?
One of the productivity fads is the morning routine. Get up early in a quiet hour, and focus on crucial things before any noise and interruptions.
One routine item proposed in the Miracle morning is silence or meditation. There’re a variety of ways to install it. In discussion with others, I said one can tailor it to fit personality.
My version is driving to a place away from home. Once there, I observe the sunrise, take a photo, and keep silent for five minutes. The photo part serves as an associated action to foster a better habit. It’s a must for the social media age.
Steps to and from the car, I recall crucial things remembered from the night before. And what points should I address for the day?. Within minutes, I note my thoughts in an app. It’s thought, work, assessment (TWA) sequence that worked for me.

Find My Footprint Again
I’m a happy man since I re-connected my old WordPress. First, I tried to create a new one, but no options I want to swallow. After minutes of searches, I gave up.
I went back looking for my old password. Yet, I had a hard time to match which username is. Young man, don’t surrender, I grunted. Minutes passed. Bang, I jumped and picked up an odd name to proceed. That’s it. Young man, I did it.
How Do You Take A Break?
Like a kid with a new toy, I want to have as much fun as possible today.
One of my questions perplexed me over the holidays is: how do you take a work break? I take a walk, I move my arms, and I listen to music. I even made one for myself.
What kind of activities you do during your break? Or, what kind of music you listen during work hours?
A Brand New Day
Today is a new beginning for me. I tried to open a new WordPress account. Yet, there’re many obstacles that I didn’t expect. After hours trying, I give up. I managed to find one of my old accounts and attempted to reopen it. Now, let’s have some fun.
I’ll use this as a diary to cover my thoughts on growth mind, grit, goal setting, and one of my favorite activities – photos.
